The Sr. Accounting Analyst will interface cross-functionally with other Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research Inc. (NIBRI) departments. The position reports to the Director for FR&A and is located in Cambridge, MA Roles and Responsibilities include the following:* Responsible for maintaining the General Ledger for NIBRI;* Prepare and post general ledger entries;* Prepare the monthly FRS report for company consolidation; * Prepare monthly management reports;* Prepare and maintain detail records of Collaborations entered into by NIBRI;* Perform account reconciliations; * Perform stock based compensation accounting, analysis and roll forward of data;* Maintain and post information for insurance related events (Risk Assessment);* Support Internal as well as external Audit;* Support business analyst during the quarterly and annual budget process; * Prepare documentations as they relate to Sarbanes Oxley or other control procedures;* Prepare reports as needed for Federal, State and local, excise, income, property and other tax compliance; * Perform other duties as requested;QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting and a minimum of 3 years financial accounting experience required. CPA preferred. Proficiency in personal computers and related software i.e., Excel, PowerPoint. Knowledge of SAP R3 a plus. Ability to adapt to changing priorities based on senior management's needs/requirements. Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and function independently. Team player, professional with strong customer focus and ability to effectively deal with all levels of management.
