Sr Biotech Test Engineer/Biotech QA

We have an immediate requirement for a Test Engineer/Biotech Quality Analyst from our direct client in Foster City, CA.

Duration: 8 months contract
In-person interview is a MUST. Non-local candidates should be able to come for in-person interview ON THEIR OWN EXPENSE.

Job Requirements: MS/PhD in biology-related field (biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics or bioengineering) with over 5 years of the lab (bench) experience.
Solid understanding of the most common test methodology lab techniques, scientific or biotech experience.
Candidate should feel comfortable using bioinformatics tools to verify and validate results independently.
Some programming skills (ability to execute simple scripts, ideally write and execute): C/C++/Java, or scripting languages: Perl, Python, shell scripting. Matlab or SQL will be very advantageous.Major Responsibilities: Required to develop, plan and execute complex software test activities on the state-of-the-art biotech instruments.
Design, execute and maintain manual test procedures for a variety Win 2k/XP based instrument software products.
Applies engineering and scientific competencies to verify and validate product requirements, specifications and develop test procedures based on it.
