Sr. Mgr/Assoc. Dir., Transfer Pricing, International Tax

This position will have primary responsibility for assistance with the implementation of all aspects of Cephalon's Global Transfer Pricing Policy and associated tax strategies.

Assist with all aspects of the implementation of the Global Transfer Pricing Policy including developing tax strategy to maximize net earnings by improving the overall effective tax rate, development of databases and modeling templates based on financial data by product and legal entity, identifying new global planning opportunities while supporting global supply chain, and tracking the "pipeline" of products with the R&D and Clinical areas.

Maintain an inventory of intercompany agreements and assist in the review of new agreements for compliance with transfer pricing guidelines.

Coordinate with the Legal, Finance, and Operational areas and oversee compliance with the Global Transfer Pricing Policy.

Provide support for all U.S. federal and state tax examinations and inquiries, related responses, documentation and supporting computations.

Support the Director, Tax with implementation of state and local tax strategies and plan projects with respect to transfer pricing, including the review of quarterly intercompany movements and related tax effects.

Provide support to the Sr. Director of Tax and European Director of Tax with special projects such as implementation of foreign information reporting aspects of new tax software, assisting with U.S. tax return preparation and related transfer pricing documentation, assisting in review of tax accruals for domestic and foreign entities, assisting with assimilation of newly-acquired companies and transition to conform to Cephalon's transfer pricing model and policy.

BS required; MS, CPA or other advanced degree in accounting, law, or economics preferred.

Demonstrated technical competence in and an advanced knowledge of U.S. Tax Law and compliance/reporting requirements is required.

Working knowledge of transfer pricing regulations, implementation and documentation requirements is preferred.

Demonstrated ability to maintain effective communications among the Tax, Finance, Legal, and Operational groups.

Experience in U.S. federal and SALT tax compliance and tax examinations, especially related to transfer pricing.

Developed technical knowledge in both U.S. federal, state, and certain international tax statutes and other authorities, including transfer pricing regulations.

Demonstrated effective skills as a self-starter.

Demonstrated effective PC skills in Word and Excel.

Strong interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills.

Demonstrated responsibility for own continuing education.

Up to 25% domestic and international travel may be required.
