Sr Packaging Engineer

This position is a Sr. Packaging Engineering position within Baxter's Medication Delivery Division. Job responsibilities include providing packaging support for new product introductions as well as leading cost savings and quality projects at various domestic and international manufacturing facilities. Primary products to be supported/packaged are flexible IV solution containers as well as a variety of sterile and sterile fluid path sets and devices. The position will include exposure to several types of packaging materials and processes including flexible and rigid films, corrugated design, thermoforming, form/fill/seal, flow-wrap, printing technologies and other related packaging equipment. Specific job functions will consist of developing protocols for testing and approving new packaging materials and systems, studying and recommending techniques to improve and/or cost reduce existing packaging/processes, investigating new sources for packaging materials, and interfacing with multiple functional groups, including manufacturing plants and suppliers in a team environment to execute packaging changes. The position will require travel to the manufacturing plants and packaging suppliers. QUALIFICATIONS: B.S. in Packaging Engineering or relevant technical degree with a minimum of 3-5 years experience in packaging. Must be capable of working in a team environment and have good project management, organizational, and written/verbal communicatoin skills.
