It reports to a field based Nephrology Regional Director. This position will cover the Pacific Northwest with core activities focused in the Seattle and Portland areas.Job Responsibilities:- Interact with healthcare decision makers to communicate and advance the scientific platform, as aligned with Amgen’s corporate goals and objectives.- Communicate complex cutting edge technical information and research concepts to healthcare decision makers, including but not limited to, Centers of Education and Research.- Provide clinical and economic value information to payers and formulary decision makers.- Identify and train members of Amgen’s speakers bureau and ensure they are updated on new data.- Facilitate submission of investigator initiated pre-clinical and clinical proposals.- Support Amgen sponsored research.- Report competitive intelligence.- Provide scientific support, consistent with the RML Compliance standard, for commercial and sales colleagues, and other matrix colleagues’ facilitated HCP inquiries.- Foster relationships between Amgen and fellows in training.- Lead and/or participate on committees or project teams that support RML strategies and tactics as delegated by RML leadership.- Mentor RMLs as designated by RML leadership.- Seek out opportunities to support the RML value proposition and achieve results.- Set an example for others to follow by consistently demonstrating Amgen Values and Leadership Attributes.- Demonstrate tact and organizational savvy when communicating and interacting with others.- Model openness and innovation through words, actions and decisions.- Share learning, including entrepreneurial and innovation ideas, with others.- Hold self accountable for performance and encourages other to achieve and be accountable for performance.M.D., Pharm.D., or Ph.D. (other doctoral degrees considered);At least seven (7) years of related experience in total, including at least two (2) years of clinical practice experience or lab experience.
