Position Overview: This position is to lead computational modeling/simulation efforts in broad biological systems. Key Responsibilities: Areas of focus for this position will include, but not be limited to: systems biology, intracellular signaling, immune response, cellular proliferation, antimicrobials. Candidates must be able to identify and incorporate appropriate data from literature, collaborators, internal experimentation, and the clinic. Ability to direct bench biologists and/or clinicians in the generation and collection of such data as needed is also required. Must be able to independently assess the available data generated in research, clinical trials, and in the literature and formulate testable hypotheses that can be tested through computational modeling. Will lead computational modeling of systems biology. Expected to be knowledgeable and proficient in the state of the art methodologies. Frequent interaction with scientists, clinicians, statisticians, and managers at all levels in the company. Demonstrate leadership in the field through invited talks, external collaborations, and publications. Other responsibilities include helping to direct bench experimentation in the systems biology effort. Minimal Requirements This position requires a Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Applied Mathematics, or related areas of study and 3+ years postdoctoral experience. Industry experience is a plus. Strong biology or medical background required as well as experience in building computational models of biologically relevant pathways. Statistics background is also a plus. Apply Now
