Sr Scientist, Bioinformatics

This opening is located in Austin, TX

Key Duties:

- Will be responsible for data analysis, statistical analysis, algorithm development and interpretation of biological data. - Will be expected to achieve objectives which are clearly defined, aligned, measurable, and focused. - May participate in the development of marketing materials, including web portals, technical articles, seminars, etc# for customers, in combination with marketing department leads.

Minimum Requirements:

 Doctoral degree (Ph. D.) or Master degree (M.S.) and 4+ years industrial experience - Working knowledge of Perl, Java, C, or Python; and experience with relational databases and SQL (Oracle, MySQL, XML). Experience with versioning control software (e.g. CVS or RCS) is a plus. - Working knowledge of statistical analysis tools (e.g. R, S-Plus, SAS). - Experience with major public genomic databases, such as Genbank, UniGene, Ensembl, Entrez - Ability to work as both part of a team and independently, and with all levels of management and staff. - Strong Communication, presentation, writing, editing and trouble-shooting skills.Submit Your Resume Online Now
