Staff Accountant

Primary responsibility will be the accounting, financial reporting, and analytical support for the US business. The person will assume other responsibilities in a team Cooperative spirit to initiate and drive improvement and efficiencies for the US financial reporting group.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

·  Day to day accounting responsibilities for the US businesses-supporting the Sr. Staff Accountant

·   Complete all financial closes in a timely manner-as directed by the Financial Controller

·  Prepare and maintain general ledger entries-as directed

·  Prepare and maintain general ledger account analysis-as directed

·  Update the daily cash book and provide summary level details to management

·  Prepare and execute wire transfer as required

·  Provide reports to plant for tracking capital accounts (incl. CIP)

·  Bank Reconciliations

·  Provide auditors with supporting schedules as directed by Financial Controller

·  Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)

·  Computer literate: familiarity with ERP software applications-Mfg Pro preferred

·  Strong communication skills-written and oral

·  Strong attention to details

·  BS/BA degree preferred

·  3 years minimum experience
