The Staff Molding Development Engineer will help develop and apply scientific knowledge around close tolerance micro-molded and material handling of medical components. The individual must have the ability to perform a wide varitety of engineering assignnments utilizing sound scientific and engineering encompassing mold tooling, equipment, material handling and other prototype devlopment processes. The Staff Molding Development Engineer must be able to work at an advanced technical level to understand dynamic process equipment interactions and lead the efforts in improving performance as well as review project progress and help evaluate and critique the results of these projects. The Staff Molding Development Engineer will serve as a consultant to faciliate process and product performance. Other responsibilities include coordinating development teams as necessary to achieve project completion, ensuring all equipment and tooling equipment meet company specifications and guidelines, and taking a leadership role in facilitiating the technical activities with outside partners. The Staff Molding Engineer will also be a strong advocate for continous improvement of technology and processes. A BS degree in an Engineering/Science based discipline and/ or equivalent work experience along with 15 years experience in the field of precision Micro-Molding of silicone products is required. Experience in equipment and tooling development, project management, construction, installation, testing, qualification and validation is required. The ability to meet company and government regulatory requirements is required. Strong practical technical knowledge and understanding of development principles, concepts and practices are required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Proven organizational skills and the ability to work well with a team is required. The ability to build, test, design and develop molding machines and components is required. Precision molding experience is required. Medical-Device experience is preferred.
