Contract Pharmacy Services is a privately held company engaged in the provision of customized pharmacy management services to long term care facilities and correctional institutions

 

Over the last 3 decades, CPS has become a leader in institutional pharmacy by recognizing and responding to the changing requirements of the industry through the development of state-of-the-art electronic prescribing and documentation systems that help our clients reduce the amount of time spent on the manual processing and transfer of information. 

 

We provide in-house pharmacy services in five (5) area long-term care facilities in addition to our main pharmacy in Warrington, PA.  CPS is currently searching for a Part Time Staff Pharmacist to work 2-3 days per week in our Sykesville, Maryland location. 

 

Job Description: 

Staff Pharmacist, Long Term Care Division

 

It is the expectation that a successful candidate will work with other pharmacists and technicians in all areas relating to the day to day operation of Contract Pharmacy’s Long Term Care pharmacy operation.

 

Includes but not limited to:

 

Ø  Read and understand the CPS Long Term Care pharmacy policies and procedures to assure that the day to day processing of prescription orders is done accurately and efficiently.

 

Ø  Effectively process, dispense or assist in the dispensing of medications on a daily basis to adequately satisfy the needs of the nursing home and independent living residents.

 

Ø  Develop a working knowledge of the HBS computer software system in order to processs prescription orders, with timely submission to third party insurance companies to assure successful reimbursement.



 

Ø  Assist the pharmacy manager and technicians in the data entry input of ancillary nursing home information (MO’s) into the HBS computer system to assure that medical records are accurate and printed timely according to the schedule set by the home.

 

Ø  Particpate in the rotating schedule of pharmacy coverage on Saturday from 10am to 2pm.  This will occur once every 3rd or 4th Saturday. 

 

Ø  Develop a good working relationship with pharmacists in other areas of the company to foster a team approach in assuring that operations are running successfully.

* Long Term Care experience a plus, but not a requirement.
