Staff Scientist - Johnson Johnson Regenerative Therapeutics - (Job Number: 0803892) DescriptionThe selected candidate will join an analytical team responsible for characterization of novel therapeutic proteins that are in Phase I, II and III clinical development. The candidate will work in a highly-cross functional team environment working with partners in Analytical Development, Formulation Development, Clinical Development, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs as well as other groups to develop convergent therapeutic technologies including biopharmaceutical proteins, cell therapies, tissue scaffolds and controlled release. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership skills and be a strong team player.The Staff Scientist will be responsible for development, validation, and transfer of analytical methods for evaluating quality and stability of protein therapeutics. Analytical and technical support for process development and formulation development activities. Review and analysis of analytical data, generation of test methods, protocols, reports, and other technical documents, and presentation of results at department, team, and project meetings. GMP testing and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Adherence to laboratory safety rules and procedures. An MS/PhD in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related scientific discipline with 5 years of relevant industry experience (PhD), or at least 10 years of experience for a candidate with a masters degree. A minimum of 3 years of experience with protein analytical method development. Strong expertise in protein chemistry and standard analytical techniques that are used to determine protein identity, purity, and stability, including HPLC, FTIR, DSC, CD, mass spectrometry, fluorescence spectroscopy, electrophoresis, and immunoassays. Experience working in a cGMP environment. Knowledge of cGMPs, relevant FDA guidance documents and ICH guidelines, and QSRs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
