Job Description Standard / MTO Product Manager Job Title: Standard / MTO Product ManagerPosition Summary: 1. Preparation and implementation of strategic plans for standard and MTO BPCs2. Work with the PDP Manager on applications support of standard products3. Work with Media Product Management and R&D on joint marketing and applications projects4. Product training for Thermo Fisher Scientific sales staff and customers5. Work with the BPC Documentation Manager on promotional and technical support documentation 6. Responsible for management of the standard range of BPC products7. Responsible for management of overall MTO pricing and scope policies 8. Management of the Standard Component Library team 9. Periodic reporting of standard and MTO BPC business performance 10. Work with the BPC Sales Management on inventory levels of standard and MTO BPC products11. Work with BPC Sales Management to set pricing policy for standard and MTO BPCs8. Attendance in person at Product Launch Meetings, documentation and other relevant promotional meetings to expedite progress of projects and understanding of needs and priorities. 9. Travel periodically to assist at tradeshows and better understand market.Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: BS required in Biology and/or Biomedical-Engineering. An MBA a definite advantage At least 5 years experience in a relevant position. Marketing, Sales, Market Development, R&D, and Technical Services could all provide a good background. Multiple areas of experience would be betterNon-Negotiable Hiring Criteria: 1. Established position in the bioprocessing industry with deep knowledge of processes and wide network of contacts.2. Outstanding communication and organizational skills.3. Proven track record in management of similar product area.Education: BachelorsJob Level: Experienced
