Strategic Mktg Mgr, Animal Health

This opening is located in Austin, TX

Key Duties:

 Develops and implements the Global Marketing plan for products targeting the Animal Health market which includes: instruments, reagents/kits and plastics - Defines and executes the go to market strategy for the product line in collaboration with Product Management, Regional Marketing, and Sales - Owns product launches including defining the strategy and implementation - Integrates input from geographically-deployed colleagues and adapts marketing strategy accordingly to ensure success - Works with Regional Marketing to develop effective Sales tools - Accountable along with Regional Marketing on the Sales Strategies employed in the Field - Provides input and validation on product concepts, product positioning, value proposition, customer requirements and business cases - Accountable with product management for the product revenue projections - Owns information on market trends, funding, competitive landscape, grants, etc. to inform strategy (product and segment)

Minimum Requirements:

 Bachelor's Degree (B.S./B.A.) in a life science discipline (molecular biology, genetics or biochemistry preferred). Degree in Animal Science or direct experience in the animal health industry is preferred - Completion of an advanced degree in business (MBA) or life science is desirable. - Experience: 5-8 + years (or equivalent) of progressive marketing, product management or sales experience in life sciences. Experience in product management or marketing of Animal Heath products preferred. Knowledge of the Animal Health industry i.e. animal diagnostics is required. - Proven experience developing and delivering detailed high-impact marketing plans. - Excellent interpersonal skills as demonstrated by a proven ability to work effectively in a complex, matrix organization - A demonstrated ability to balance a process orientation with an appreciation for deliverables, and a keen awareness of the necessity for decisive action - Ability to travel as needed to carry out primary responsibilities - approximately 20%-25%
