McNeil Consumer Healthcare is most widely recognized for the complete line of TYLENOL acetaminophen products, the leading pain reliever brand in the adult and pediatric categories. The TYLENOL product line consists of hundreds of products across a variety of pain categories. Other brands include IMODIUM A-D anti-diarrheal, which is marketed in more than 60 countries, ST. JOSEPH Adult Regimen Aspirin and MOTRIN IB. The Strategic Sourcing Manager/External Manufacturing and Technology will be responsible for driving the Supplier-Enabled-Innovation and providing supply solutions for new and existing products utilizing domestic and global third party manufacturing. This individual will work closely with R&D, Strategic Marketing, andBusiness Development in evaluating new business opportunities, and will lead thesourcing strategiesfor key technologies in support of both new and existing businesses. This person will also work with Contract Operations to ensure a smooth establishment of a new supply chain and ensure business continuity. The position will routinely interface with the appropriate levels of internal and external key cross-functional groups. This individual will ensure quality and depth of analysis for sourcing initiatives and facilitate executive decisions and stakeholder buy-in for sourcing/technology recommendations. A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, or related field with at least 5 years experience in a pharmaceutical environment is required. A Master's Degree is a plus. The candidate is required to have a solid understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes end-to-end for APIs and dosage forms under cGMP. Fundamental procurement skills including market analysis, supplier assessment, cost analysis, due diligence, RFS/RFQ/RFP and bid strategy, regulatory compliance, and supply chain and supplier relationship management are preferred. Familiarity with OTC and Consumer markets is a plus. Experience in a sourcing/procuring environment is desired. Technology/product development, commercialization experience and global sourcing experience are preferred. Strong financial and analytical skills, and sound knowledge of Process Excellence Methodology (e.g. Six Sigma, Design Excellence & Lean), are a plus. Strong leadership, teamwork, and collaboration skills are a must. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. The ability to speak multiple languages is desired. Must be willing and able to travel up to 35% of the time and work in Ft. Washington, PA.
