The job description for this role is mandated by the FDA GLP Regulations and includes protocol preparation, conduct of GLP compliant studies, data interpretation, interaction with contributing scientists and pathologists, report finalization and data archiving. This position will also serve as Study Monitor for numerous outsourced toxicity studies at CROs. Over time, a successful candidate may develop the skills to become a Lead Scientist for Early Development Projects. As Lead Scientist this individual will be responsible for the design of a non-clinical toxicology program to support human administration, act as functional expert on drug development teams, and prepare milestone committee presentations, IBs, and all supporting regulatory documents. A minimum of aBachelor's or Master'sdegree inabiomedical scienceandat least 5 years of experience in all phases of conduct and oversight of GLP in vivo toxicology studies is required. A DVM or PhD in a related science with at least 2 years of experience in GLP in vivo toxicology studies is preferred. A DVM, PhD in Toxicology (Board Certified) with 2-3 years postdoctoral experiencein GLP in vivo toxicology studies is highly preferred. Experience monitoring studies with CRO's is an asset.
