Summer Internship-Clinical Operations

Summer Internship-Clinical Operations Requisition Number: 21559BR This internship will provide a student with an in-depth view of the site contracting and budget piece of clinical trial start-up. The intern will capture and pull data from and into various computer systems/programs used by the company. In this process he or she will utilize PROSIT and the interim SCBM database. The intern will learn the site contracting and budgeting process by assisting SCBM team members by preparing packages to be sent to clinical research sites and log in receipt when documents are returned from clinical research sites. He or she will also learn the signature process by assisting in obtaining signatures on site contracts and budgets. The intern will also gain exposure to clinical teams and the entire clinical study start-up process by attending meetings on occasion with his or her mentor. This opportunity to observe meetings will provide the intern with a broad view of the roles and responsibilities of the clinical study start-up process. He or she will also handle the filing of SCBM documents including but not limited to secrecy agreements, informed consent forms, site budgets and clinical trial research agreements.QualificationsInterested candidates should be either a junior or senior obtaining either BA or BS degree with an interest in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically contract law or finance.Schering-Plough is an equal opportunity employer.
