HistoryThe Company was founded in 1984 and in 1986, opened its laboratories at 180 Varick Street in New York City. In its early years, the Company focused on immunology-based diagnostics and infectious disease vaccines. This focus resulted in two FDA approved diagnostics and several vaccine research programs, all of which have been licensed to pharmaceutical companies. During the early nineties, the Company's focus shifted from diagnostics and infectious disease to the development of a pipeline of innovative, biologic compounds in the area of oncology. From this pipeline, three investigational monoclonal antibodies are being evaluated in various stages of clinical development. OperationsImClone Systems operates in two locations - its corporate and scientific headquarters at 180 Varick Street in New York City, which houses the Company's research and executive offices, and its campus in Branchburg, New Jersey. The Branchburg facility is home to the manufacturing, product development, finance, clinical, regulatory and quality assurance and commercial operations departments. This position is primarily responsible for the overall maintenance of the BB36 or BB50 Facility (excluding the Utility Room) and its associated equipment and grounds. The duties include taking ownership for the overall maintenance and PM /WO program for the BB36 or BB50 Facility including the operation of the Building Management System and the Buildings HVAC systems. Ensure the building and its operations always remain in compliance with cGMP's, safety, and OSHA requirements.1. Troubleshoot all problems as they occur on incubators, cold rooms/freezers, Bioreactors, TFF skids, Chrom skids, Manufacturing Tanks/mixers, CIP skids, autoclaves, glassware washers and other equipment in the BB50 Manufacturing areas. In order to accomplish this, the individual must be fully knowledgeable and understand all aspects of equipment operation.2. Monitor Building Management System and provide direction to all Field Technicians regarding the reporting and documentation of critical and non-critical alarms. This includes ensuring the field techs issue a daily report to Management summarizing critical and non-critical alarms. Maintain full knowledge of the BMS System 3. Troubleshooting of BMS alarms as they relate to equipment and the buildings HVAC Systems. This includes the reporting and documentation regarding room pressure, temperature, and humidity alarms.4. Supervision of Field Techs 24 hours a day 7 days a week operation. Supervise rotating shift Technicians on a rotating shift schedule.5. Review all Manufacturing equipment PM job plans for accuracy and completeness and update as required.6. Provide proper man hour utilization of Facilities Technicians to ensure all PM's and WO's are completed as scheduled.7. Assure all scheduled PM's are issued and completed each month.8. Review/ evaluate corrective and emergency work orders for trends and institute solutions as required.9. Supervise the Facilities Technicians in performing and completing the Preventative Maintenance Activities in an accurate and timely manner.10. Supervise the Facilities Technicians in performing and completing all Work Orders in an accurate and timely manner.11. Determine & maintain spare parts, shop supplies and tool inventory. Make sure all spare parts are assigned to PM's and entered into SAP.12. Tour facility on a monthly basis and issue a report /email to management indicating any problems in which work orders are generated regarding items needing repair.13. Write NCE's and Change Controls as applicable for all qualified systems and areas. 14. Prepare and issue service contracts for Production equipment and areas. 15. Monitor activities of outside contractors. Make sure all contractors are trained and documents are in the contractor training binder. Ensure contractors are properly escorted at all times. Also make sure all contracts are filed in the appropriate binder.16. Manage Facility Technicians, Mechanics and Workers and ensure that they are all properly trained on equipment and Facilities SOP's.17. Supervise electrical and plumbing services for new installations.18. Supervise labor for equipment and facilities renovations.19. Ensure the BB36 or BB50 Facility and grounds (outside of the Utility room) is kept clean20. Manage snow removal as required.21. Act as project coordinator for any capital projects/engineering WO's for the Manufacturing Facility as they relate to the Facilities Department.22. Ensure the Facility meets all Safety and OSHA requirements.23. Off-hour emergency response. 1. BS in Engineering or equivalent Technical Discipline2. 3-5 years hands on experience3. Knowledge of managing personnel man loading and equipment maintenance utilizing a computer based management system4. Ability to lift 80lbs RESPOND HERE!
