The Supervisor will be responsible for GMP downstream purification operations in the Pilot Plant facility. This individual will be responsible for equipment set-up/prep, automated skid recipe generation, SOP/batch records generation and review, process scheduling, and production report generation. Additional responsibilities will include training, and equipment maintenance and purchase. This person will also heavily interact with other pilot plant groups, including ITS, PDQC and Support operations. The Supervisor will support any start-up and validation of pilot plant facility. This individual will be responsible for the supervision of up to 5 junior level DSP operators. This person will coordinate and control documentation for protein production for clinical use. The Supervisor will assist in the scale-up downstream processing for MAB's from gram to kilogram to support production of new products for investigational clinical trials. This individual will write technology reports to summarize scale-up and GMP production. This individual will also participate in the start-up of pilot plant facility, as required. Additional responsibilities will be to perform development projects related to product purification utilizing chromatography, tangential flow filtration, filtration, and other techniques as required. The Supervisor will help to implement new technologies related to downstream purification of new monoclonal antibodies or other proteins. A minimum of a Bachelors Degree is required. A degree in a Science/Engineering, or related field is preferred. Must have at least 5 years industry experience. Experience with GMP production is required. Experience leading a team is a must. Excellent communication and presentation skills required. Knowledge of MAB production is a plus. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
