We have an immediate need for a talented individual to join the Idenix team in the following role:

 

Synthetic Organic Chemist in our Chemical Development Group based at our laboratories in Cambridge. The group is responsible for process research/development and scale-up of drug candidates and also provision of synthetic intermediates to support our discovery chemistry activities based in France. The work requires use of a wide range of synthetic methods on gram to kilogram scale.

 

The successful candidate will have a B.S., M.S. or Ph.D degree in organic chemistry and a minimum of two years experience in the process research / scale-up function of a pharmaceutical or specialty chemistry company. He or she will need to demonstrate good knowledge of organic chemistry and modern analytical techniques and will be experienced in the use of large-scale laboratory equipment. Experience in the chemistry of nucleosides, carbohydrates and heterocycles may be advantageous.
