System Engineer, Robotics

Position Description:
Will be responsible for system engineer responsibilities in support of MAKO Surgical Corp.’s Robotics Design Transfer team. Provide system engineering support for the company’s Robotic Design Transfer Team Design changes to requirements for robotic systems and subsystems Design changes to interfaces for robotic systems and subsystems Design changes to communications protocols for robotic systems and subsystems Hazard and fault analysis for robotic systems and subsystems Problem diagnosis and solving for robotic systems and subsystems Uphold the quality policies of the company Reports to Robot Design Transfer Manager
Departmental Responsibilities:

Diagnose system problems from CAPAs or production problems Design and implement system solutions to CAPAs and Continuous Improvement requests Diagnosis of mechanical, electrical, and software problems from CAPAs or production problems Creation of In process inspection testing protocols & reports for reliability & performance Design and implementation of mechanical, electrical, and software solutions to CAPAs and Continuous Improvement requests Completion and finalization of DMR documents for design transfer of new designs Participate in engineering-led pilot builds with manufacturing support & Manufacturing – led production builds with engineering support Training and support of production & field service staff Qualifications: Masters Degree with minimum of 1 year experience of practical work experience in the robotics or automation field; combination of education and experience acceptable
