Position Description:

Job Description: Key contributor to assist in the development of future generations of our optical imaging DNA biochip scanning instruments. Fulfill the role of system integration for our complex optical/mechanical/electrical/software instrument platforms, plan and execute design verification testing cycle, enable the successful transition of new designs into manufacturing, and enable the resolution of problems and re-testing. Job duties include but are not limited to:• Integrate and troubleshoot optical, mechanical, and fluidic systems• Optical system testing and image analysis• Write and execute design verification and validation test plans for optical DNA scanning instruments • Analyze data, prepare reports, and present findings for optical DNA scanning instruments• Verify and validate product design and performance during development cycle• Work within a cross-functional team of engineers and scientists in development and manufacturingEducation and Experience:• BS/MS Degree in Instrumentation, Engineering, and/or Optics plus 3+ years of relevant experience. Ideal candidate will have experience in product development, including integration and test, transfer to production and documentation. Optical instrumentation experience preferred. Biomedical instrumentation experience highly preferred.
