Systems Administrator/SQL DBA

Maintain the enterprise systems including storage systems, servers, and enterprise applications. Install, support, maintain and troubleshoot all enterprise systems and applications. The Systems Administrator/SQL DBA will principally be responsible for ensuring the security, availability and performance of databases on multiple SQL servers. 

 

Main Tasks 

· Provides system administration, design, analysis and functions for all server systems to address the needs and requirements of the company.

· Design, plan, monitor and enhance server and database security, capacity and system performance, scalability and perform load balancing.

· Create and maintain disaster recovery and backup testing plans consistent with the requirements of each system.

· Work with project teams to determine standards and procedures for production server and database implementations.

· Participate in establishing deadlines provide progress reports, in order to keep projects on track and on time.

· Demonstrate a high level of professionalism in all dealings with business associates and clients on a daily bases.

· Expected to stay abreast of current news, system information, problems, changes and updates relevant to our user community

 

Education and Experience

·   3-5 years of experience as SQL Server DBA including Analysis Services and Integration Services.Microsoft DBA Certification preferred

·   SQL Server Performance Tuning and Query Optimization Experience

·   Expertise with configuring, implementing, and supporting high availability strategies with SQL server systems including MS clustering and replication

·   Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·   Ability to work in a fast paced environment
