Clamoring for attention, retailers are embracing innovative strategies that stand apart in a consumer-demanding, fiercely competitive environment. The realization is retailers must adapt to changing demographics, attitudes, preferences, and behavior to be successful in the long term. A Consumer Business Retail Senior Manager in Systems Development will manage and deliver large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business solutions and technology solutions for large clients across several key industries. Senior Managers are expected to contribute to the firm's growth and development in a variety of ways, including: Engagement Management: manage engagement risk, manage project economics including planning and budgeting, manage accounts receivable, define deliverable content, ensure buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client. Client Management: Manage the day to day interactions with client management and sponsorship. Business Development: develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients, organize and lead pursuit teams, participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process, contribute to proposal pricing strategy. Practice Development & Eminence: development of solutions and methodologies, development of "thoughtware" and "point-of-view" documents, public speaking and publication in industry periodicals. People Development: perform role of counselor and coach, provide input and guidance into the staffing process, and actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities. Provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices. Senior Managers must have: - 10+ years IT consulting experience, preferably in a large consulting firm environment. - Experience managing large proposal development teams and implementation teams (10-25 resources) through IT strategy initiatives, middleware implementations, application requirements, design, development, and testing while leveraging overall technical architecture knowledge. - Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience with executive-level communication. - Business development experience and high comfort level meeting with and presenting to CxO and VP levels. - A willingness to travel to client locations. - Bachelor's Degree required; In addition, ideal candidates will also have the following: - Project Financial Accountability - Large Scale Program Delivery - $25MM program or larger - Industry Experience in one of Deloitte's key delivery Industries (Financial Services, Healthcare, Public Sector, Consumer Business, - Telecommunications/High Technology/Media, Manufacturing, Energy) - Significant application architecture experience with J2EE or .NET. - Experience with enterprise applications such as Siebel, SAP, Peoplesoft, Oracle About DeloitteDeloitte refers to one or more of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, a Swiss Verein, and its network of member firms, each of which is a legally separate and independent entity.
