Tax Leadership Development Program (TLDP) - (Job Number: 0806243) DescriptionJohnson & Johnson has over $ 50 billion in sales and is the world's most comprehensive & broadly based manufacturer of health care products, as well as a provider of related services, for the consumer, pharmaceutical, and medical devices and diagnostics markets. The more than 200 operating companies in J&J employ approximately 120,000 employees in over 55 countries around the world, selling products in more than 175 countries. The Tax Leadership Development Program (TLDP) is a two-year program designed specifically to develop candidates in the field of Tax and the tax aspects of a large multinational corporation. The program will be part of and receive the benefits of the Financial Leadership Development Program (FLDP). The FLDP program is a two-year program designed specifically to prepare future generations of business leaders within the J & J accounting & finance organization. Participants develop critical leadership & technical skills through rotational assignments at several J&J business units, in-depth leadership & technical training, & on going coaching and feedback. TLDP participants complete 3 eight-month rotations, the first at their hiring company (which they return to after the completion of the program), & the subsequent 2 at different J&J companies. These rotational assignments are supplemented by 7 weeks of classroom & e-learning training over the course of the two-year program. Training covers all areas critical to success at J&J & is delivered through a combination of resources including Tax Leadership, FLDP program leadership, key Finance leaders, J&J Executives, & external consultants. All rotations are U.S. based. The rotations are designed to expose participants to a combination of different tax functions within J&J as well as the following J&J Business Segments: Consumer, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices & Diagnostics and Corporate. Each rotation will provide an excellent learning experience & an opportunity for TLDP participants to utilize their leadership skills & technical knowledge to drive incremental value & change. Additional underlying benefits from company-wide rotations are an expanded network of contacts, a diverse J&J knowledge base, information sharing, & the skill sets necessary for future J&J inter-company movement. The key to success in J&J is to understand the business & create value-added change in team-oriented environments, all key deliverables for TLDP participants. TLDP offers 7 weeks of classroom & e-learning training. The initial orientation training introduces the new class to J&J, its leaders, the Credo, business processes, & leadership competencies. The courses are taught & led by both internal & external resources. In subsequent sessions that are held approximately every four months, the TLDP participants develop competencies related to problem-solving/analysis, technical knowledge, teamwork, & leadership. These competencies are developed through participation in case studies, simulations, presentations, technical overviews, & team building exercises. In an effort to constantly improve training, participants evaluate all training sessions, so future classes may have an improved training agenda. The TLDP encourage participants to pursue certification in management accounting (CMA) and /or public accounting (CPA) as well as an MS in Taxation.
