The Cincinnati Ohio Corporate Office has the following opportunity available:

 

Technical Flavorist – Bachelor Degree in Food Science, Chemistry or Related field.  M.S. Preferred. 

10 years of minimum experience in the flavor and/or related business required.

 

This position reviews and corrects formula compliance to actual manufacturing practices, replacement of raw materials not in the future portfolio.  Reviews the formulas to be transferred to the manufacturing sites, and process material substitution requests.  These tasks must be managed while maintaining customer satisfaction, quality and regulatory compliance.

·  Formula compliance vs. operational practices.  Reviews formulas vs. operational practices and adjust formulas so that actual practices in operations and formulas are in agreement.  This includes accurate formula yields, accurate formula bill of materials, minimizing material substitutions, utilizing correct process codes, etc.

·  Optimization of existing formulas.  Work on formula improvement projects so that the formulas can be produced more cost effectively and consistently while maintaining customer satisfaction, quality, and regulatory compliance.

·  Manufacturing support: Work on manufacturing support needs including rework of non-routine out of specification batches and management of material substitutions.

·  Raw material portfolio support:  Works on US owned formulas so that the non go forward ingredients are eliminated from these formulas wherever possible while maintaining customer satisfaction, quality and regulatory compliance.

·  Support Creation Policies and tool boxes with the Flavor Creation Group:  Support the effort of ensuring that flavor creation guidelines are well defined and agreement is achieved with the flavor creation group.  Review new formulas for compliance and work with creating to chemist to revise as necessary.  These initiatives are to be achieved so that operational efficiencies and flavor creativity are properly balanced.

·  Transferring formulas review:  Review transferring formulas to ensure they are optimally producible as part of the production transfer process.
