Technologist, Biosafety Testing

The Biosafety Testing department is responsible for performing various in-vivo assays such as the Mouse Antibody Production test (MAP), detection of non-apparent viruses and other biological safety testing.  Responsibilities include prioritizing and preparing incoming samples and performing various in-vivo assays.  Candidate must be able to perform animal injections and sample collections and work with microisolator cages using biocontainment procedures.  This area follows GLP guidelines and is subject to frequent audits.  Strong verbal and written communications skills are required.

 Qualifications High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) and two to four years related experience and/or training.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.  Associate's degree preferred.
