Technology Lead, Storage Archive - (Job Number: 0805202) DescriptionJohnson and Johnson, is looking for a technology lead, Storage & Archive in Raritan, NJ. The candidate will be responsible for a variety of Storage and Archive responsibilities including the creation and maintenance of tools strategy and capability including virtualization and automation functionality. Technical Leadership with solution deployment and methodology. Compliance (SOX & Regulatory) evaluation based on platform requirements. Technical Writing is key to role. Resource Testing and integration, Compliance Documentation. Technical Leadership with solution deployment and methodology. Review existing data and develop plan to migrate data as needed with minimum impact to business with new storage tiers or archival solutions. Deploy storage plan based on design by Lead Engineer. Cleanse data as necessary for migration and create plan. Evaluation of current and future technologies for storage and archival solutions. Work closely with GDC (Operations) to maintain current infrastructure with required new releases. Maintain a link with IT strategic sourcing to update them on possible future product direction. Provide Level 3 on-call support where needed for product line. Delivery on-time solutions design for project requirements working on project teams across functional areas. Provide detailed guidance, project updates, and utilization metrics to IT IS Global Program Management organization. The Ideal candidate should have an approximate experience or equivalent knowledge and skills necessary to satisfactorily perform the position responsibilities of 6+ years professional experience with four-year degree or equivalent or 4+ years professional experience with advanced degree or equivalent. The Candidate must have 4+ years IT experience with enterprise level technology infrastructure and engineering, with a minimum 2 years focused on subject area technologies. 2-5 years experience with key project roles on large enterprise technology development projects. The ideal Candidate should have engineering and operational experience with UNIX/Windows Server and storage platforms (HP, EMC, 3Par) with availability a must at the application layer. Strong understanding of key security issues and control mechanisms to protect internal systems and manage legal exposure related to subject area concerns, such as configuration management & assurance, instrumentation & monitoring, policy enforcement, and compliance. Experience with standard change management and configuration policies. In-depth knowledge of architecture and integration considerations related to dependent, subordinate, and collateral infrastructure technologies. Experience developing and implementing both short-term and long-term strategic programs focused on providing observable, measurable improvements to end users, operational counterparts, and business partners. Proven experience delivering large projects in a global context. Strategic thinker that is results driven and displays a sense of urgency. Strong team player with people development and collaboration skills. Result driven multi-tasker able to execute efficiently on a variety of programs concurrently. Ability to consistently apply broad knowledge of system engineering to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure problems. Process excellence certification preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate across all management and organizational levels Exceptional leadership, networking, and influencing skills to create alignment of senior cross-functional stakeholders. Responsible for meeting technical objectives in an assigned area. Knowledge of ITIL framework- certifications a plus. Strong Business Acumen along with Decision Making/Problem Solving Skills.
