Testing Technologist
SeraCare Life Sciences develops, manufactures, and sells a broad range of biological based materials and services essential for the manufacture of diagnostic tests, commercial bioproduction of therapeutic drugs, and additional research applications in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and diagnostic industries.
We currently have a need for a Testing Technologist in our West Bridgewater facility.
Position Summary: Performs manual ELISA, particle agglutination,Bioburden, Western Blot, and automated chemistry tests on infectious and non-infectious samples. Analyzes and proofreads results for validity and accuracy. Performs and organizes special studies. Organize samples, test kits, test requisitions, and supplies. Performs monthly equipment verifications and other Quality Control duties. Responds to intradepartmental queries. Maintains orderly appearance of Testing Laboratory.
Qualifications: Six (6) months to three years of medical laboratory testing experience required. Bachelors’ Degree in Science, preferably in Medical Technology, or equivalent experience preferred. Computer experience preferred. Laboratory working conditions may include the handling of infectious and non-infectious human plasma, serum and hazardous chemicals. Overtime may be necessary in order to meet business demands. Ability and willingness to lift up to 50 pounds.
