Toxicology Study Coordinator needed ASAP!

KSR is the first and largest scientific staffing company in the world, and we currently have exciting Toxicology Study Coordinator position available in the Malvern, PA area.This is a 2 month temporary, first shift position that may be extended through the end of 2008.By working with Kelly Scientific Resources, you will receive:- Competitive pay - Eligibility to a comprehensive benefits package- Access to the Kelly Science Learning Center- The opportunity to gain experience and references at one of the world's foremost pharmaceutical companies- And more!As a Study Coordinator you will be responsible for the following:- Act as Study Coordinator for various study types of toxicology studies in laboratory animals. - Utilize template protocols and data forms to initiate and conduct toxicology studies. - Prepare and maintain study books according to Standard Operating Procedures and Good Laboratory Practices guidelines. Review raw data and study documents for accuracy and completeness. - Communicate study events with the appropriate study personnel. - Coordinate study events with other departments. - Provide study schedules to laboratory supervisors. - Prepare and present study updates to toxicology staff. - Perform technical procedures on assigned studies. - Perform the following toxicology techniques accurately using Good Laboratory Practices on assigned studies: animal handling, ear tagging, blood and urine collections, dose administrations, body weights, feed weights, clinical observations, and electrocardiograms. - Fulfill responsibilities assigned on the laboratory schedule. - Prepare and maintain laboratory standard operating procedures. - Develop techniques and procedures which provide enhanced capability to conduct toxicology investigations. - Perform initial evaluation of data and report results at internal staff meetings. - Perform routine animal husbandry. - Observe company safety guidelines, including maintenance of safe, clean and organized work areas. To succeed in this role, one must possess the following:- Understand basic principles, concepts and methodology governing the work performed. - Good technical skills and working familiarity with laboratory procedures and processes. - Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new experimental techniques. - Can independently obtain and interpret analytical or other supporting data and arrive at proper conclusions. - Ability to conduct specific experiments, processes or other operations under supervision. - Follow set procedures, display proficiency with lab work, can identify technical problems and contribute new ideas toward their solution. - Collect background information from literature searches as appropriate to understand the theoretical and technical aspects of work being performed. - Communicate results of work to supervisor. Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team. Requirements:- A B.S. degree is required- At least 0-2 years experience in toxicology/biomedical sciences, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry or in a contract research organization in reproductive toxicity testing.
