Job Description Training/Document Specialist Our client is a rapidly growing East Bay pharmaceutical company that takes seriously the business of making a difference in the lives of cancer patients. With headquarters in Emeryville, the company seeks enthusiastic and driven employees who support a culture of discovery and mission. They are currently seeking an experienced Training Coordinator/Document Specialist to join their growing clinical development team. Duties/Responsibilities: TheTraining Coordinator/Document Specialist will provide the following blended support: Training Coordinator: Assists in the evaluation, administration and testing of the learning management systemResponsible for implementing and maintaining the quality assurance systemParticipates in defining training plans for each position, compiling and assembling training materials for usersGenerates reports to track training programs, participation, feedback, effectiveness, and other training metricsSchedules workshops, instructors, and roomsAssists instructors with course setup and other training requirementsPerforms general training administrative support and maintains training documentation files Document Specialist: Coordinates the review and revision of procedural documents and formsUpdates and maintains logs, databases, and cataloguesPrepares process and status reports, assigns and monitors document numbers, and reviews documents for format, style, and completenessCommunicates with department heads and subject matter experts regarding reviewing, updating, and training on procedural documents and forms General responsibilities: Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action but normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments, and review of all work and work decisionsHandle confidential information and perform duties in strict confidenceEnsure consistent services and support quality across the organization by providing guidance to other staff membersQualificationsBA preferred4-6 years administrative experience, including minimum 2 years experience with training coordination and/or writing or proofreading.Ability to learn and master new applications softwareActively participate as a member of a multidisciplinary project team - daily contacts are primarily with their immediate supervisor and members of Regulatory and Quality AssuranceMust have excellent customer-service orientation and ability to work with little or no direction.Ability to communicate effectively in a learning and teaching environmentMust be proficient in the following applications: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Exchange/Outlook.
