Training Specialist
Position Description1. Build rapport with donors to ensure overall “customer” satisfaction with the center to support long-term donation
2. Effectively schedule employees to accommodate donor cycles.
3. Ensure the implementation of Donor Center training activities and any other developmental activities needed to support operational objectives. Must ensure employees' competence to perform roles independently.
4. Provide employees with active feedback regarding performance.
5. Identify areas of operational opportunity for continuous improvement.
6. Work with center management team to implement operational changes to enhance center operational effectiveness.
7. Support management in implementation of corrective actions to eliminate regulatory deficiencies in training.
8. Create, maintain and audit compliant training records and files.
9. Ensure center adherence to training standard operating procedure and annual training requirements, including new procedure training and recertification activities.
10. Create and maintain training schedules and tools to ensure timely completion of Center training objectives.
11. May assist in the development and facilitation of operational training materials and programs.
12. Establish and maintain the ability to perform all tasks within the Plasma Donor Center.
13. Fulfill role of production employee should the need arise.
14. Report all unsafe situations or conditions to supervisor.
15. Other duties as requiredPosition RequirementsAssociates or Bachelors Degree with a minimum of two years training experience. At least one (1) year of training experience using adult modalities in plasma center preferred. should have experieince in training adults and must have ability to understand different learning styles. Supervisory and management experience preferred. cGMP and experience in a regulated environment a plus. Prior to performing training at the center level, cross-training must include Level II certificate in autopheresis and training in all center operations and procedures. Certification as a Nurse's Aide, Nurse's Assistant, or Medical Assistant preferred. General knowledge of all center operating procedures.
If promoted from within, must be trained in all areas, including donor screening, phlebotomist, and plasma processor. Prefer bi-lingual Spanish/English.
