Transportation Analyst

This is a database analyst role that will serve as a consultant/liason to the transportation and marketing groups. Strong database searching and data analysis skills are a must. Evaluate, educate, and implement routing and dispatching functions of the InterGis software program at all U.S. labs. Support local Transportation Supervisors in logistics planning, implementation and performance measurements. Administer VCR application and database. Manage National Dispatch Operations, maximizing all resources and maintaining budget controls. Standardizing procedures and applying best practices. Partner with marketing department, laboratory operations and Transportation Supervisors to support growth initiatives and develop strategic solutions to market expansion. Mentor and coach Regional Transportation Management team.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Standardize procedures across all locations Administer InterGis/VCR and its key components Evaluate and recommend technology for the Transportation Department Deliver training specific VCR and Dispatch Work closely with Marketing Team to develop strategies for new and growing market opportunities Develop, manage and evaluate contract courier relationships and cost structures Develop and recommend alternate routing solutions nationally to drive efficiencies and reduce costs Develop and manage reporting to support National Transportation team Must be able to travel 20-50% Technical: Evaluate and develop route efficiency Proficiency in routing and mapping program Proficient use of InterGis VCR program. Proficient in SQL and SQL Server Basic knowledge of database maintenance Proficent at network troubleshooting Ability to analyze statistics to drive efficiency Customer/Client Services: Establish route plans for new markets, clients and/or contractors Consistently available when needed being proactive and responsive to customer/client needs Personnel: This position has no direct reporting realtionships Communication: Conduct and/or attend required meetings Champion cross-function alignment, promote collaboration Inspire trust and followership; motivate, inspire and empower Miscellaneous Other duties as required Help maintain a clean and safe work environment Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION:Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent-related experience.

EXPERIENCE: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Excellent computer skills Good organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks Ability to work independently

Visual acuity to read maps May require some or all of the following: climbing, pulling, pushing, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), carrying, reaching and hearing Must have visual ability to perform close up and small detail work
