Job Description UV/Vis Sales Specialist The person in this position will serve as a technical sales resource in the UV/Vis and Fluorescence instrument sales process, including identification of opportunities and performing qualified product demonstrations of UV/Vis to help close business. The Sales Product Specialist will be expected to work closely with both Direct Sales and Customer Channels groups. The Sales Specialist will team with individual sales professionals to identify and nurture new or target accounts, departments, and/or key influencers as described in the annual sales plan. This person will also provide input to the factory for new product development and the execution of the annual molecular marketing plan . The individual will coordinate local delivery of pre- and post-sales application support for markets targeted by Thermo Fisher Scientific. We require a bachelor degree in Chemistry or Life Sciences, with at least five years of relevant sales or application experience, including expert knowledge in UV/Vis instrumentation. Candidates must be also be knowledgeable with respect to the competitive landscape for UV/Vis products, and able to work with minimum supervision. Due to heavy customer interaction, excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, along with strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Windows platforms.
