A global leader in the Pharmaceutical industry currently has an exciting opening for a Veterinary Technician.  This is a great opportunity if you have been looking to gain experience in the Pharmaceutical field.

Position responsibilities:
• Expertise is required in many veterinary technical procedures, including various routes of injection, blood collection, anesthesia, dental procedures, maintenance of animal records (including electronic records), and any other techniques deemed necessary to maintain animal health.
• Required to perform Quality Assurance functions including collecting blood and tissue samples, shipping samples, and recordkeeping associated with departmental QA efforts.
• Provide hands-on support of research studies by performing veterinary procedures requested by investigators conducting large animal (rabbit, NHP, feline, canine and swine) studies.
• Serve as a study collaborator, including maintaining a current knowledge of the specifics of the approved IACUC protocol, planning, organization and completion of the actual study.
• Assist in animal procurement related functions including: provide backup support to the Procurement Specialist, receive incoming animal shipments and generate new animal cage cards and/or prepare individual animal health records.

Position requirements:
• BS in Biology or related scientific discipline with 2 years experience in veterinary technology.
• Associate Degree with 4 years experience in veterinary technology and AALAS Certification at the Laboratory Animal Technician level.
