Vice President, Human Resources
Ranked one of the fastest growing companies in Los Angeles with offices throughout the US, Europe and Asia needs experienced strategic leader in the role of Vice President of Human Resources. This position reports directly to the Chairman and Board of Directors and those business leaders with employees in geographically dispersed locations. The Vice President, Human Resources will be responsible for providing HR leadership and strategic consulting to the Division's business leaders. A thorough understanding of strategic and tactical business plans and the human resource implications of those plans are essential. This position works with senior management on issues related to change management and organizational design and development and plays a leading role in the application of innovative policies, programs and support systems.
This position requires strong relationship-building skills and deep expertise in all areas of Human Resources especially compensation and organizational assessment and development. The successful candidate is expected to play a proactive and visible role in the organization.
Additionally, this position will develop programs including compensation, benefits, employee relations, organizational design and training. The VP of Human Resources will take on the role of PR Director as a voice for the company by creating and maintaining corporate communications mediums.
Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required:
• Minimum 12-15 years experience in human resources management including strategic planning/business partner leadership experience
• A Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree a big plus.
• Strong partnering, facilitating, influencing, and negotiating skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving ability.
• Ability to delegate, coach, develop and manage a diverse and geographically dispersed team.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills to effectively receive, interpret and disseminate information in a manner that is clear, concise and actionable.
• Strong business knowledge and capability to assess HR implications of business priorities
• Comprehensive understanding of HR principles, techniques and procedures
• Must have experience dealing in labor relations and legal compliance issues
**Previous work experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology field highly preferred**
