Vice President of Business Development & Client Services
My client an excellent Medical Communications company in the local area is actively seeking a Vice President of Business Development & Client Services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Successful individuals must have the experience and ability to effectively communicate and work with pharmaceutical & healthcare market managers in marketing, medical, sales, education, and training to develop and expand business opportunities. Serve as the lead for research and proposal development for all new business Client facing in presentation of company capabilities Ability to work with internal departments (Scientific, Account, Project) Oversee and manage the Account/Client Services team Ability and experience to bring new product development ideas to expand the existing company portfolio Support of scientific staff with strategic insight, support, & KOL management This position will work with marketing teams to develop communications that help to educate the defined audience. Business Development within existing clients to grow the account along with securing new business. Managing relationships within accounts, industry KOL’s (Key Opinion Leaders) and a keen sense and ability to deliver on client’s expectations, goals and projects is essential. The ability and previous experience to build and grow relationships with industry leading managers and executives in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. Previous Launch experience is desired, along with hands on account management/client services experience. This position requires an individual with a strong communication skills (both written & verbal), outgoing, professional and able to interact with client’s, management at all levels, as well as internal staff.
Requirements; (Qualifying for this position you will have the following experience) •Ten (10+) or more years of experience in the Medical Communications industry •A College degree required, advance degree a strong plus. Existing client contacts and relationships that would help you to expand existing and new business opportunities.
•Previous management experience (Direct reports). •Excellent communication, relationship building and team management skills •Top notch client & KOL management experience. •Knowledge, understanding and creativity to develop, discuss and explain strategic marketing and educational programs.
•Strong CME understanding•Individuals from the PA/NJ/NYC commutable areas are desired due to living in the region where clients are found and proximity to in house staff.
Successful managers in this position have the following qualities: Excellent organizational, strong leadership, client relationship and account management skills with a focus on sales results, excellent judgment, reasoning, and interpersonal skills to work effectively and manage diverse personalities in a “team” idealized company.
