Voice Network Engineer

Voice Network Engineer In this role you will oversee and manage engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities associated with areas within the voice services function. You will monitor the operations of voice network systems and perform complex tasks relating to voice network operations, installation and maintenance for local, off-site and remote locations. You will also research and evaluate technology and recommend solutions to optimize network performance. Additionally you will lead project teams, mentor and assist in the development of other team members. Other responsibilities: Monitor project progress Ensure project schedule adherence Provide regular updates to management Interface to vendors and customers on a frequent basis Partner with all other IT areas to coordinate common project efforts and achieve departmental goals Offer technical assistance/guidance to less experienced techniciansTo be successful in this position, you must possess: Bachelor’s degree or compatible work experience is required Experience with Nortel’s VoIP solution, which includes, support signaling server hardware and software, programming signaling server software via element manager and need the ability to implement peer to peer networking between signaling server sites Ability to serve as the primary voice consultant for customer giving recommendations on future implementations of Nortel equipment, upgrades to existing equipment and compatibility issues between Nortel PBX’s and the customer’s Rockwell ACD system Capability to support MAC (moves, adds, and changes) work, installation and maintenance on Nortel CS 1000M MG PBX, Call Pilot, BCM and Signaling ServerHospira offers an agile, yet balanced work culture and the types of compensation and benefits you’d expect from an industry leader.
