Warehouse Operator w/Hazmat and DOT exp.

Essential Job Functions: This is not intended as a comprehensive list; it is intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed, and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks.

 

·         Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws, including safety rules and regulations.

·         Cleans and maintains the warehouse area and equipment.

·         Follows established department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Computer Training Manual.

·         Responsible for carrying out all material handling and inventory control activities required within the chosen computer system servicing a production/distribution operation.

·         Process material dispatches and returns keeping the related documentation as per established procedures.

·         Performs inventory counts, takes action to maintain QAD locations with the physical product locations, and maintains documentation related to inventory tracking.

·         Responsible for the picking, packing, checking, weight verification, receiving, put-away and shipping of product and waste.

·         Coordinates and documents storage and removal of hazardous waste.

 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

·         Basic computer literacy skills are required.

·         Experience with a Warehouse Management Systems is preferred.

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills.

·         Able to lift and/or move 75-100lbs at times; stand and walk on hard surfaces for 8-10+ hours per shift; and be comfortable with heights ranging 25-30 feet off of the ground

 

Education and/or Experience:

·         Experience in a regulated environment with cGMPs, DEA, and/or FDA is preferred.

·         Handling of hazardous material.

·         DOT requirements.

·         Computer data entry.

·         Class B  drivers license

·         Forklift experience is also required for this position and Forklift Certification is a plus.

·         High School Diploma or equivalent and prefer a minimum of Six (6) years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.

 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

 

Incumbents are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell, looking at monitor, moderate noise levels and some business (international) travel.  Work is performed in a warehouse and office environment.
