Job Description Web Engineer III Position Summary: This position will work with the Enterprise Architect and eBusiness Development Team to develop and manage web initiatives and complex to moderate technical projects. Must be able to translate business needs into effective technical solutions using core eBusiness and web capabilities and other state of the art technologies. Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of web systems and services that support the company’s E-Commerce business objectives. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: 1. Must have superior Java and J2EE expertise. Prior experience with and detailed knowledge of J2EE Best Practices and be up to date on the very latest J2EE and related specifications and standards.2. Experience with Web Content Management Systems desired. Interwoven TeamSite a plus.3. Comfortable doing needs / requirements analysis and recommending cost effective and justifiable solutions.4. Expertise with J2EE architectures, design patterns, and complete application development lifecycle; mastery of J2EE, EJB, JMS, JSP, and Java Servlets; proficiency in ANT, Application Servers, XML and Unix; working knowledge of UML modeling techniques, JDBC, SQL, RDBMS’s and Struts preferred5. Familiarity with methodologies, frameworks and extensive SDLC: RUP-Rational Unified Process, EAI (webMethods), Content Management Solutions.6. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities 7. Performance tuning expertise with J2EE applications8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management, as well as both business and technical departments. Detail oriented.
