As a Microarray Profiling Scientist located within the Application group in Woburn, you will perform miRNA expression profiling under the supervision of the Application Manager. You will use your expertise in molecular biology techniques for florescence labeling, PCR amplification, hybridizations and data processing using image acquisitions and analysis software.

 

Responsibilities:

·  Provide high quality RNA expression data by performing RNA isolation, miRNA labeling, and hybridization.

·  Work in a team atmosphere providing miRNA expression support for various projects in external collaborations and internal application development efforts.

·  Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.

·  Develop organization skills, presentation skills and attention to detail.

·  Communicate effectively with colleagues and senior management.

·  Utilize computer-based systems for data collection.

·  Maintain accurate records of all work performed and all data produced.

 

Qualifications:

·  BS or recent Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology or related fields.

·  Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a molecular biology laboratory.

·  Experience in performing gene expression profiling utilizing mRNA (miRNA) array technology.

·  Experience in RNA isolation methods from cells & tissues.

·  Strong problem solving skills.

·  Strong written and oral communication skills.

·  Adaptability to change.

·  Strong general laboratory and organizational skills, attention to detail

·  Proficiency with computer software.
