Accounts Payable Manager

The Orchard Enterprises is looking for a full cycle Accounts Payable Manager to oversee and own the company’s systems for recording, coding and handling all payables
This person will report to the assistant controller and be responsible for:
Handling all AP issues and inquiries whereby negotiating purchasing terms and increasing the company’s purchasing power Responsible for managing all corporate purchases (including negotiating deals on Mobile phones, T&E expenses -Hotels, Car Rentals, Airfares, etc. Ensuring timely label royalties and related payments and working closely with the royalty department as needed Managing and recording credit card and expense reports transactions in a timely manner  Coding bills and recording them in the correct account by departments  Timely check disbursements and wire transfer payments Working closely with vendors to resolve any issues relating to payables Maintaining and updating reoccurring vendors list and payments Correctly accounting for accrued and prepaid expenses Managing and reinforcing the company’s approval process & T&E policy and procedures Producing weekly disbursements and monthly AP aging reports

The Ideal candidate must take charge and own the entire purchasing/payables life-cycle to include the following:Timely recording of expenses Generating weekly check payment cycle Maximizing vendor terms as it relates to paying when due Preparing related adjusting journal entries Assist in the month-end closing Support royalties team by prioritizing payables to meet artists payment deadlines Involvement in special projects as needed along with ensuring compliance with company policies and Sarbanes Oxley


REQUIREMENTS
BS in Accounting 4-7 years plus payables owning / accounts payable experi Must have experience in dealing with foreign currency transactions Must be organized!!!! Must be detail oriented, works independently with minimum supervision, be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment Must be a real "team player" with a "can-do" attitude and a solutions oriented personality Maintain a professional attitude Effective and efficient communication skills (verbal and written) Strict adherence to company policies and procedures Strong Excel skills and proficient with Microsoft office suite QuickBooks and Great Plains a MUST!!
