The Associate Product Manager position will support marketing, strategy and operational/efficiency initiatives across the Nielsen RMS (Retail Measurement Services) product portfolio. This includes collecting and synthesizing client input and industry trends to assist in positioning, building and delivering RMS products while driving operational efficiencies through cost reduction and process enhancement initiatives. The Associate Product Manager will work across products and collaborate with other organizations such as Operations, Systems and Finance and other Nielsen divisions.QualificationsRequired SkillsThe candidate must have a Bachelor s Degree in Marketing, Business or related field; MBA a plus. A minimum of 2-3 years work experience in product management/marketing or related field is required; prior experience in market research or operations preferred. The individual must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience managing small to medium sized projects is required. The ability to analyze and solve complex issues in a fast-paced environment is critical. The candidate must be self-motivated and results oriented with attention to detail. Proficiency in Windows/MS Office suite required; experience with other software applications a plus. Accountabilities"Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful completion of product initiatives including developing and communicating project requirements, timelines, and budgets, providing product input/content expertise and managing capacity and client expectations "Conduct client needs assessments and monitor industry market research to identify client business issues and emerging trends "Lead deployment of ideation and collaboration solution internally to facilitate the new product development process"Guide product enhancement requests on Nielsen s new data platform by engaging sales to understand needs and operations/systems to implement enhancements"Lead cost reduction efforts across marketing through engagements with Finance, Operations and other product managers; ensure alignment with functional and global efforts"Serve as product expert for other Nielsen functions including product features/benefits/specifications, client implementation processes and alignment of database platforms with data access applications"Liaison with marketing team to develop and maintain product sales collateral and internal/external training materials "Collaborate with upstream development team to ensure technology alignment between new data platform and future development efforts
