The Business Development Manager (BDM), as part of TSM's Mobile Publisher Network team, will support and drive generation of new business across TSM's client and prospect base. The BDM will provide analysis, assist with developing and negotiating contract terms, follow-through with all parties involved, and coordinate the deal flow process. The BDM will also contribute to TSM's internal development efforts as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Business Development Activities:
*Understand value proposition for TSM Network and products and market to viable prospects and clients. Scope includes responding to RFP's and renewal / negotiation of existing contracts.
*Listen effectively to prospect's business objectives and requests, and successfully overcome any concerns to close deal.
*Develop and provide presentations (e.g., PowerPoint) and product demonstrations to deliver TSM value proposition.
*Understand TSM's contract terms and develop / negotiate according to prospect's situation.
*Conduct rigorous analysis (e.g., using Excel) to illustrate deal terms and scenarios as well as overall Network performance, and drive recommendations.
*Stay on top of competitive trends to inform proposal development.
*Coordinate with other parts of organization (e.g., platform sales) to develop ways to address prospect needs.
*Work with client management team to coordinate training and on-boarding of new clients.
*Manage TSM's deal pipeline, proactively follow-up with prospects, and coordinate deal flow process to ensure proper follow-through / closure.
Corporate Initiatives:
*Contribute to strategic projects, research and analysis, and process design and documentation efforts, for Mobile Publisher Network and cutting across TSM and Advertising.com functions.
*Participate in cross-functional team efforts that are part of TSM's on-going operations and development.
Skills:
*Excellent written and oral communication skills.
*Strong analytical and presentation skills, including high aptitude for MS Office tools: PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, etc.
*Understanding and keen interest in mobile advertising and digital media industry and standards.
*Strong initiative, self-motivation and prioritization skills.
*Structured thinking, attention to detail and follow-through.
Education / Experience:
*BA/BS in business or related field.
*3+ years of business development, enterprise sales, or investment banking / consulting experience.
*Experience in online / mobile advertising or digital media services.
*Experience working with Fortune 100 brands
*Or relevant combination of education and experience.
