Channel Marketing Manager

Legacy.com, Inc. is a 10 year-old online media company, financially strong and growing at 25% per year.  Serving 600+ newspapers, including 45 of the largest 50 markets in the U.S., we are the leader in online memorialization and have a growing presence in several additional verticals, including pets and celebrations.

 

We have an immediate need for a talented, experienced Channel Marketing Manager who will report to our Chief MarketingOfficer in our Evanston, IL office.

 

Overview

The Channel Marketing Manager’s primary responsibility will be to help form and develop channel strategies for Legacy.com.  This person will bring a high degree of creative energy, with the opportunity to develop new ideas and see them through implementation.  The Channel Marketing Manager will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact on the business and own the results.

 

Responsibilities

The Channel Marketing Manager’s primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Lead strategy and business development initiatives targeted at building relationships in and engaging the funeral home industryProduct and program development Manage the development of marketing collateralCreate and implement account presentations to develop business relationshipsConduct research to identify unmet needs in the marketBuild and foster strong relationships with funeral home associations and trade groups

 

QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related fieldMinimum 5-8 years of marketing experienceMotivated, creative self-starter with ability to work well without constant directionStrong comfort/familiarity with the internetPossession of strong time management and communication skillsExcellent multi-tasking abilitiesAbility to demonstrate respect and empathy as necessaryFuneral home background/exposure highly preferred but not required!
