Contracts Analyst

CITY: Universal City STATE: CaliforniaCOUNTRY: USAEssential Functions (Responsibilities):The NBC Universal Law Department is seeking a Contract Analyst to join its Rights Unit -- a legal team responsible for analyzing contracts and other legal documents to provide legal advice to the company regarding the company's rights in its entertainment product, including film, television, home entertainment and digital media products. This position will involve: searching and reviewing existing corporate databases, as well as internet and other sources, for basic product information about certain titles; locating and pulling files, documents and other information needed for rights research ; summarizing product information about certain titles; assisting the Department's attorneys in analyzing contracts and other file documents to determine NBCU's rights in its entertainment products; drafting responses to clients regarding NBCU's rights; entering rights information into the Unit's rights database and otherwise assisting the Rights Unit in its tasks of assessing rights information regarding NBCU entertainment product.Qualifications/Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:B.A., B.S. or higher degree, OR comparable work experience (minimum three years in legal or entertainment area)

Legal background (paralegal experience, law school or comparable work experience) is a significant plus.
