Director, Business Development

CITY: New York STATE: New YorkCOUNTRY: USAEssential Functions (Responsibilities):The Director's primary responsibility will be to assist in creating strategies for revenue growth and value enhancement through M&A, strategic alliances, and partnerships.Specifically, the Director will assist in identifying potential target acquisitions and partners, carrying out financial analysis and modeling including valuation and financial statement analysis, and structuring transactions in close collaboration with NBC accounting, tax and legal. Overall, he/she will function as part of a deal team with responsibility for all acquisitions and investment activities, including sourcing, analysis, structuring, valuation, negotiation, due diligence and closing activities. The ideal candidate will be able to independently identify opportunities and lead the transaction execution process.Qualifications/Requirements:* BA/BS degree * At least 5 years work experience* A minimum of 3 years investment banking, consulting, or business development experience with a media company* Strong transactional background* Solid financial and negotiation experienceDesired:* MBA * Demonstrated communication and presentation skills* Background that includes the ability to think creatively and strategically while handling difficult and complex issues in a corporate setting.
