CITY: Los Angeles STATE: CaliforniaCOUNTRY: USAEssential Functions (Responsibilities):Job Purpose:The Director of Corporate Communications will support mun2 operation based out of Los Angeles, CA.Job Responsibilities:Responsible for daily management of both business/trade and consumer/programming communicationsDrive message consistency with communications strategy, company mission and business objectivesBe an active participant in the daily evolution of the company's brand and reputation among key constituentsBuild and maintain relationships with key reporters, editors and producers from print and broadcast outletsManage and oversee daily activities of external PR agencyWrite and distribute appropriate information to print, electronic and online media in order to aggressively maximize publicity opportunitiesSet up, coordinate and attend all executive interviewsIdentify and maximize speaking opportunities for company executivesManage internal communications programs directed to mun2 employeesMaintain working relationships with community organizations and contacts in government agencies, when necessaryQualifications/Requirements:Basic Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of communications experience Bachelor's Degree in journalism, corporate communications, PR or related disciplineEligibility Requirements:Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV online to be considered (note job#: 811173)Willingness to travel and work overtimeMust be willing to work in Los Angeles, CAMust be willing to take drug test and submit to a background investigation Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in United StatesMust be bilingual English/SpanishDesired:Media or entertainment experienceExperience in managing PR agenciesExperience in the US Hispanic market and/or Latin AmericaExcellent organizational skills Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills Ability to maintain discretion and manage confidential information Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel Ability to handle multiple and varied projects at one time; organize, prioritize and follow-through Flexible self-starter who is punctual and attentive to details Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to interact with all levelsGeneral:mun2 is the cable network that provides young Latinos (18-34) with an alternative mix of entertainment programming.mun2 is distributed to 17 million U.S. TV households, with distribution set to grow to 24 million as of May 1st.mun2 is part of Telemundo cable, the cable division of the Telemundo communications group.
