Director, Media & Co-Op
Warner Bros. TV Distribution Inc. seeks a Director, Media & Co-Op for the Domestic Television Distribution Marketing department. Position is responsible for proposing, coordinating, overseeing and analyzing local media buys and station co-op plans for launch, sweeps and special campaigns for all first run and off-network product. Utilize ratings & research to identify, develop, recommend & implement national & local media plan and promotions. Helps establish show media and co-op budgets, direction and approval. Works closely with the head of Marketing, head of Sales and Director of Media and Promotions to ensure cohesive marketing plans for each show. Negotiates on-air promo placement and commitments with stations for all shows. Works directly with local stations on all co-op needs including submissions, recommendations, processing and reimbursements. Analyzes station co-op proposals to insure effective media power. Maintains co-op computer systems and all station grids. Provides reports on co-op funds, ratings performance, and stations’ on-air performance to department head and upper management upon request. Reviews station co-op reimbursement packets to insure proper invoicing and payments. Approves local media plans and traffics local creative executions through creative team for approvals. Monitors and manages on-going station on-air promotional performance reports. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
BA/BS degree in Marketing or related field preferred. Knowledgeable of the entertainment business specific to syndication and/or affiliate marketing required. Local station experience is a plus. Must possess an understanding of media ratings. Must have media planning experience. Must have strong computer skills including MS Word & Excel and Macintosh. Minimum 5 years local station or agency experience required. Must be able to communicate effectively & tactfully with managers & other levels of personnel. Must have ability to pay close attention to detail. Ability to persuade and resolve problems in a professional manner. Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
