Director Technical Account Management

Global media company looking for the right candidate to join their growing team. Candidate must have:

-Bachelors Degree

-At least 4 Years Hands-on Experience working in Information Technology Infrastructure and Operations.

-At least 3 Years Experience working in a technology role within a Broadcast Operation.

-Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Leverage computing concepts to develop innovative solutions for complex architecture and operational challenges.

-Plan and manage technical architecture and operations projects; ensure business deliverables are committed, communicated clearly and delivered on time.

-Participate in and drive long-range strategies and planning for technical architecture and operations.

-Build and maintain relationships with the Distribution business and technology leaders; understand the business goals, stay abreast of business efforts, work to help drive technology strategy.

-Function as a change agent - anticipate technology opportunities, propose solutions, and support business initiatives for our business partners.

-Develop and frequently communicate the business's computing infrastructure vision and ensure that all architecture and operations activities support that vision.

-Maintain and apply current knowledge of information and broadcast technologies; keep abreast of new and emerging technologies and help the business understand if/how they can be used to add value.

-Maintain a strong knowledge of Distribution and Broadcast Operations including:

-Sales/Traffic Operations

-Media and Content Operations

-Network and Broadcast Operations

-Distribution and Channel Technology

-Maintain a strong knowledge of Distribution & Broadcast Technologies including:

-Media Formats, Video & Audio, for all distribution channels

-Media Encoding, Decoding, and Transcoding

-Satellite, Fiber Content Distribution

-In-house Distribution Technologies

-Traffic and Automation Systems

-Educate our business partners about the benefits Global Enterprise Services can provide them.

-Lead and help define the evolution of architecture & operations for the business' computing infrastructure.

-Substantial experience in the successful implementation of technology to address business needs.

-Substantial experience in Information Technology leadership positions with a variety of hardware and software disciplines.

-Substantial experience in operational optimization through process evaluation and engineering; Proven record of success in this area

-Demonstrated strength in managing multiple projects with cross-functional teams & concurrent deadlines.

-Six Sigma Green and/or Black Belt certification

-Excellent written and verbal communications, and strong formal presentation abilities.

-Proven project management and leadership skills; Demonstrated planning and organization skills.

-Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all levels of management and user community

-Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Fiber and Satellite Distribution Technologies

Video/Audio Encode/Decode and Transcode Technologies

Media Ingest and Playback Systems

Windows 2000/XP Pro desktop and Windows 2000/2003 server

NT domains & Active Directory

Dell desktop and HP server equipment

TCP/IP Local Area and Wide Area network infrastructures
