Facilities Manager

 

SPEED Channel is seeking a Facilities Manager to be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the new facility providing day to day services for 125+ employees. This position is based in Charlotte, N.C.

 

Responsibilities:

· The Facilities Manager acts as the day liaison to employees in building, handling such duties such as space planning, office layouts, janitorial services, vendor services, workstation adjustments and reconfigurations, project management for tenant improvements, lease administration, furniture procurement, moving coordination, key control, storage, moves, parking and recycling efforts.

· Responsible for all areas/issues (listed above) for the facility, the Manager will supervise the daily and preventative maintenance schedules for vendors and/or staff.

· Works extensively with Engineering and Operations department to strategize and address physical plant issues, cleaning and maintenance of technical areas/studios based on production schedules, etc.

· Manages new employee office and cube set ups, oversees all furniture and moves and handle daily client issues and track buildings budget; contributes to the maintenance of the facilities management database.

· Manages and coordinates loading dock operations, shipping, receiving, and Recycling efforts.

· Manages and distributes all building access and keys including office door keys via facility management program. 

· Supports the VP Finance and Business Operations and the Facilities staff when needed.

 

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in related field is desired by not required. 

· 3+ years in Facility Management position. 

· Must possess experience with managing, detail orientedwith exceptional follow up skills; experience in servicing multiple clients is desired.

· Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, and the aptitude to communicate with all levels of management; excellent customer service skills are vital.  Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required, as well as general knowledge of map/database programs and HTML is beneficial; knowledge of Visio a plus.

· Must be comfortable performing basic mathematical calculations; should be able to read architectual drawings.

· Having strong analytical skills is tremendously beneficial. 

· Must have the ability to be proactive in problem solving is favorable.

· Project management experience from beginning to end is required.

· Strong interest in building services management is desired.

· Must be highly motivated and a self-starter with the ability to work independently and be resourceful

· Must be comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced environment while multitasking with attention to detail and accuracy.
